New Year’s Eve Fun in the Lakes Region

If you missed out on tickets to our New Year’s Eve Gala and are looking for a great way to ring in 2017, don’t fret—there are plenty of other fun parties, shows, and celebrations taking place throughout the Lakes Region. Here are a handful of great events that will help you welcome the New Year in style:

Gunstock Rocks New Year’s Eve – Gunstock Mountain Ski Resort is having a party that just keeps getting better! Starting at 3pm, anyone with a season pass or primetime lift ticket for Dec. 31 can enjoy all the festivities, including mountainside fireworks at midnight, along with skiing and riding all evening. Gunstock is also offering a special 21+ party from 6 – 8 pm (lift ticket not needed) in the Pistol Pub. This event will feature a comedy show and buffet dinner. In addition, there will be live music and family entertainment in the Main Lodge, tubing, Mountain Coaster rides, s’mores by the fire, a torch light parade, and moonlight snowshoe tours. The list goes on! For more information, please visit

New Year’s Eve Gala with the Racky Thomas Blues Band – Pitman’s Freight Room in Laconia is having a rockin’ party! Ring in the New Year with live music, dancing, and a delightful hors d’oeuvres buffet. The Racky Thomas Blues Band has been a torchbearer for the blues since its formation in 1995, when the group got together to record and perform in the Boston area. Thomas has a vast repertoire of tunes – blues from world-class bluesmen, plantation gospel (the original blues), rocking electric blues, classic and obscure blues, and Racky Thomas blues! Twice nominated for Boston Music Awards, and winners of the 1997 Battle of the Blues Bands, The Racky Thomas Blues Band is a must see! Check out all the info at

Adam Ezra Group – The Flying Monkey Movie House & Performance Center is excited to be hosting this great musical performance for New Year’s Eve. Show starts at 8:30 in 2016 and ends in 2017. Ezra always challenges our perspective, often teetering between sensitive poet and ballsy rocker. Having toured with Rusted Root, The Avett Brothers, Jason Mraz, The Goo Goo Dolls, Blues Traveler, Los Lobos, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Dwight Yoakam, and many more, the Adam Ezra Group has graduated from the local Boston scene to the national stage with a momentum that is catapulting them towards being one of the country’s most talked about bands. Each time Adam and his smokin’ band are here they raise the roof! Start your year right with great live music!

Last Night in Wolfeboro – an all-day event in Wolfeboro, from 11am – 10pm. Some towns have “First Night” celebrations, but in Wolfeboro, it’s the “Last Night of 2016.” This family-friendly event will feature a Scavenger Hunt, Wildlife Encounters, Pizza & Beverages, 6:30pm Fireworks over Wolfeboro Bay, Bingo, Music, and Dancing! With the exception of the Fireworks, all activities will take place in the Great Hall located inside Wolfeboro Town Hall. For more information, please visit or call Parks & Recreation at 603-569-5639.

Everyone at Mill Falls at the Lake wishes you a Happy and Safe New Year’s Eve, and all the best in 2017!
