31 Dec Mill Falls Wishes You a Happy New Year!
It’s New Year’s Eve—a time to reflect on all the accomplishments of the past year, renew our commitments to our personal and collective goals, and to welcome 2015 in style! If you haven’t made plans for this evening yet, it’s not too late. Here in the Lakes Region, we have some fun festivities lined up!
Gunstock Rocks New Year’s Eve Celebration – The entire mountain is open for skiing, riding, and tubing. In addition, anyone with a New Year’s Eve night lift ticket, primetime lift ticket, or season pass can enjoy the following after 4pm: horse-drawn carriage rides, snow shoe tours, ski and ride tips from the Learning Center Pros, and more. During the evening, there will be entertainment for the whole family, including a roaming juggler, face painting, balloon art, s’mores by the fire pit, Nobody’s Fault band rockin’ in the Main Lodge, DJ Christine providing music outdoors, a Torch Light Parade, and fireworks at midnight! For more information, visit www.gunstock.com or call 603-293-4341.
The village of Wolfeboro will be hosting another First Night with tons of activities. First Night Wolfeboro is a community-wide, alcohol-free celebration of the performing arts. There will be a variety of entertainment options at many indoor locations around town, including activities for children and families starting at noon. Kids will enjoy magic shows, face painting, hat making, and mask making, as well as storytellers and interactive live music, and folks of all ages will want to check out the ice sculpting demonstration. The annual First Night parade and fireworks display begins at 6:15pm this year. Buttons are $15 and are your pass to all the fun in town.
