02 Dec Meredith Decked Out for “Christmas in the Village”
Throughout the month of December, Meredith Village will be all dressed up in its most festive holiday cheer! “Christmas in the Village” is the Greater Meredith Program’s theme for the season, with traditional New England holiday sights and delights along Main Street, in the Mill Falls Marketplace, and beyond. Participating Meredith establishments are decked out with festive window displays, and are offering holiday specials to shoppers, diners, and visitors to this charming and historic town.
To help visitors find their way to all the unique local shops and restaurants that this village has to offer, the Greater Meredith Program (GMP) has created “Do The Loop” brochures that highlight all the participating merchants. These merchants are also featured on large, artistically rendered maps in different locations throughout the town. Brochures are available from merchants displaying a “Do the Loop” decal, at the map locations, and on the GMP’s website. The public is invited to “Do The Loop” by visiting, dining, shopping, and enjoying the variety of services on Main Street and beyond. “Do The Loop” cards may be stamped at any of these venues, and when completed, can be dropped in the designated box at Mill Falls at the Lake for a chance to win in the next drawing.
To kick off the month-long celebration, the annual Mill Falls Marketplace Holiday Open House will take place on Sunday, December 4th. The Open House will feature strolling carolers, horse-drawn carriage rides, and a visit from Santa! The 48 Main Merchants’ Holiday Open House includes delicious treats and activities for the whole family.
Beyond the downtown loop, opportunities to shop local abound. More Meredith activities and specials will be highlighted throughout the month on the Greater Meredith Program’s Facebook page. For more information on GMP and all their great programs, please visit www.greatermeredithprogram.com.
