Besides skiing, skating, and snowmobiling, there are some quieter activities that don’t require much money or special equipment, but still get the heart pumping and the spirit soaring. For folks who like these gentler pursuits, Prescott Farm in Laconia has some great winter programs lined up…

Recycled PercussionWarm up this weekend in Plymouth, NH, with a spectacular high-energy performance that will get your feet and spirit moving! The Flying Monkey Movie House and Performance Center will be hosting a world-class percussion group that is returning to New Hampshire after a successful run in Las Vegas, and you won’t want to miss this show! "Recycled Percussion" will be at the Flying Monkey on Saturday, January 11th for their 4th annual performance, with two shows this year due to popular demand. Tickets sold out far in advance the past three years, so they’ve added a matinee performance this year. The matinee starts at 2:30pm and the evening show starts at 7:30pm. This historic, renovated 1920s theater also offers snacks and meals before and during performances. For the matinee, sandwiches, healthy snacks, and concessions will be available, and the evening performance will have an optional 6pm dinner service with a children's menu. The Flying Monkey’s unique seating layout allows guests to enjoy performances in ways no other venues in New Hampshire offer. There is a lounge with comfy couches and chairs in the balcony section, the orchestra seating is as close to the stage as most venues’ gold seating sections, the riser and balcony sections have reserved table seating with food and beverage service, and a full-service bar sits at the back of reserved seating, allowing guests to enjoy beverages within the main hall during performances.
