This is the pinnacle of the season—welcome to autumn in New England! For residents and visitors to New Hampshire, the high point of fall has long been Columbus Day Weekend, when peak foliage colors often coincide with the three-day holiday. The Granite State has some great ways to see how the colors are progressing—time to plan your autumn getaway to catch those colors at their brilliant peak!

The Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 2016 Good Libations Tour opening the weekend of September 30th – October 2nd. Gunstock Mountain Resort is well known for its excellent winter skiing and snowboarding, and for many years has also been a destination for hiking and scenic lift rides in the summer. However, in recent years, Gunstock has dramatically expanded its summer offerings to include camping, off-road guided Segway tours, and one of the longest Zipline courses in the country. Now Gunstock is better than ever with the addition of an Aerial Treetop Adventure Park, and this year’s newest thrill—the Mountain Coaster! Don’t let summer pass by without a trip to this NH fun spot that has something for everyone!

Next weekend, Meredith Village will once again be filled with live music, delicious food, and beautiful works of creativity as Main Street and the Mill Falls Marketplace are transformed into an outdoor art gallery. This fair is the highlight of the summer season, featuring the works of over 80 local painters, sculptors, jewelers, potters, photographers, and quilters.
